
COTABATO CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Nov. 9, 2012) – An unidentified gunman shot dead a Chinese restaurant owner in Cotabato City in the southern Philippines, reports said Friday.
It said two men walked inside the restaurant and ordered food from Anton Tee Cuakok and then shot him from behind as he walked towards the kitchen.
The motive of the attack is still unknown, but police has launched an investigation into the killing. No other details about the victim was made available by the police.
No individual claimed responsibility for the murder, but Cotabato is notoriously known for its high criminality and shootings and killings, and kidnappings and bombing largely blamed by authorities to criminal syndicates and rebel groups. (Mindanao Examiner)
