PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Nov. 27, 2013) – A waiter has shot and wounded his co-worker inside a local inn and escaped after the attack, police said Wednesday.
Police said Rex Ruales, 19, was shot several times allegedly by Edward Quezon, 26, at the function room of Anastacia Pension House in the village of Santo Nino. The victim was rushed to the hospital after being shot with a.45-caliber pistol in the stomach, according to the police.
It said Ruales, a native of Lanao del Norte province, was inside the function hall when Quezon, a local resident, arrived and then attacked the victim.
Police said it is investigating the shooting. It was not immediately known how Quezon was able to smuggle his weapon inside the pension house without being detected by security guards. (Mindanao Examiner)
