PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Nov. 29, 2013) – A motorcycle collision has killed one person and wounded three others in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga del Sur, police said Friday.
Police said the motorcycle collided head on with a road grader driven by Rufo Elis, 35, in the village of Dumalian in San Miguel town. The crash killed the motorcycle driver, Herdy Carreon, 24, and wounded his three passengers – Florentino Villahermosa, 19; Godofredo Basay, 22; and Jake Casacot.
Elis, who works for a construction company owned by Walter Lao, was unhurt from the collision. The wounded victims were rushed to hospital, police said.
Police are investigating the accident, but initial report said the motorcycle rammed the grader. (Mindanao Examiner)
