COTABATO CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Dec. 31, 2012) – One civilian was killed in a grenade attack in the southern Philippine city of Cotabato, police said Monday.
It said the two motorcycle men were behind the attack that killed Ali Amirul.
Three other people were injured in the blast that occurred in the village of Rosary Heights, scene of a recent gun attack that left two people dead and several more wounded.
Police said the motive of the attack is still unknown, but authorities have launched a manhunt in an effort to capture the assailants.
It was not immediately known if the grenade attack was connected to the ambush. (Mindanao Examiner)
