12000 sako ng bigas, hinarang ng Customs

GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Hawak ngayon ng Bureau of Customs ang 12,000 sako ng bigas na nagkakahalaga ng halos P7 milyon matapos na makumpiska ito sa General Santos City.

Hinihinalang galing ang mga bigas sa ibang bansa at sinasabing naka-consigned ang mga ito sa dalawang negosyante sa bayan ng Jolo sa Sulu province.

Hindi naman agad mabatid kung bakit sa Jolo patungo ang mga bigas gayun ang lapit lamang ng Sabah sa nasabingg lalawigan na kung saan ay pinanggagalingan ng mga ito.

Sakay umano ng isang lantsa ang mga bigas ng ito ay kumpiskahin ng Customs kamakailan lamang dahil sa kakulangan ng papeles.

Agad umanong ipinag-utos ni dating Southern Command chief Jessie Dellosa, na ngayon ay deputy commissioner ng Customs, na kumpiskahin ang cargo. (Mindanao Examiner)
