
MANILA (Mindanao Examiner / Mar. 29, 2014) – The Philippine National Police said some 180 police officers attended the recently concluded 2nd Performance Governance System boot camp as part of its continuing transformation program.
Most of those who participated in the boot camp, held at the Fontana Convention Center in Clark, Pampanga, were provincial and city directors, and deputy directors of national support units and staffs of strategy management units.
Discussed during the boot camp were governance values, change management, leadership and communications strategy, monitoring and evaluation, among others. It was also in preparation for the Philippines hosting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Leader’s Summit in 2015.
The boot camp – with the theme “Synergy in Motion 2: Linking the Islands of Good Governance” – was organized by the Philippine National Police through the Center for Police Strategy Management.
It is also aimed at developing values and skills to raise the standards of governance and to empower key police officers and personnel involved in the implementation, promotion and sustainability of its transformation strategy known as PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030–Peace and order Agenda for Transformation and upholding of the Rule-of-Law as enhanced by Police Director General Alan La Madrid Purisima through his “CODE-P: 2013 and beyond.”
