ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Jan. 26, 2014) – Two separate explosions early Sunday hit the house of a village chieftain in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, but no casualties were reported in the twin attacks.
Mohamad Nur Atang said the attacks targeted his houses in Tictabon and Mampang villages. He said the explosion damaged his houses, but the motive of the simultaneous attacks is still unknown.
No individual or group claimed responsibility for the blasts and police were investigating the type of explosives used in the attacks.
It was unknown whether the blasts had anything to do with family feud or Atang’s work in the village of Tictabon. (E. Dumabo)
