
ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY (Mindanao Examiner / Feb. 11, 2014) – Police said two people were hacked and killed in separate attacks in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga Sibugay.
Police said a 63-year old farmer Marcos Latao, was hacked by his relative Teodoro Latao, 45, in the village of Manlin in Buug town. The assailant escaped after the attack and is being hunted by the police.
Feud or grudge is likely the motive behind the killing.
In the town of Siay, a 56-year old farm worker, Eduardo Luquinario, was also found dead with hack wounds in the body. The victim left his house to work in rubber plantation and was found murdered on the village of Maligaya.
Police are also investigation the motive and who was behind the murder. (Mindanao Examiner)
