
ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police said 2 persons were injured after their car crashed into a street pole in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines.
Police said the driver, Ridwan Assiong, a student of the Zamboanga Maritime Training Center, avoided a man who was jogging at Mayor Vitaliano Agan Avenue and Governor Vicente Alvarez Street, and rammed the pole.
Assiong, who was with Ruth Aiza Zibuyan, told police investigator that he was driving at 80kph when the accident occurred.
Police said the crash damaged the car and the pole. A closed-circuit television camera attached on the top of the pole was also damaged. It said Assiong was also driving with an expired license. (Mindanao Examiner)
