ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 26, 2014) – A man was killed and his companion wounded after two motorcycle gunmen attacked them in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, police said Monday.
Police said Arnel Gregorio died instantly from the attack while Ryan Francisco was rushed to the hospital. The two men, both 24 years old, were just fetching water in the village of Cabaluay when the gunmen arrived and without provocation attacked them.
The motive of the shooting was unknown, but police said the gunmen also took off with the victims’ motorcycle.
