PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / July 10, 2013) – An unidentified gunman attacked early Wednesday a representative of the indigent sector in Pagadian City in Zamboanga del Sur province, police said.
Police said the gunman shot the vehicle of Rio Olimpio Lingating, 47, in the village of Dao. His driver, Trifil Jay Macarial, 22, was slightly injured from debris of shattered wind shield of their pick-up truck.
Lingating was not hurt in the shooting and police said an investigation was launched into the motive of the attack.
No individual or group claimed responsibility for the shooting. (Mindanao Examiner)
