ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE – Two men travelling on a motorcycle were shot and wounded in Salug town in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga del Norte, police said Saturday.
Police said suspected illegal drugs were also found from the possession of the two victims – Joseph Sayo, 50, and Sajad Anni, 34, – who are both from Lunzuran village in Zamboanga City.
The two men were shot several times in the village of Mucas, but police said there was no witness to the attack which is being linked to illegal drugs.
Police said the duo was believed heading to Dipolog City. The victims were brought to Zamboanga Del Norte Medical Center in Dipolog City, but their medical condition is unknown.
No individual or group claimed responsibility for the shooting. (Mindanao Examiner)
