2,000 pamilya apektado ng baha

KIDAPAWAN CITY — Nagsilikas ang nasa 2,000 mga pamilya matapos na bahain ang kanilang lugar sa pitong mga barangay sa bayan ng Kabacan, North Cotabato, dahil sa walang humpay na pagbuhos ng ulan nito pangnakaraang araw.

Dahil dito, ideneklara na ng pamahalaang lokal ng Kabacan ang bayan sa ilalim ng state of Calamity matapos ang regular na session nitong Huwebes na pinangunahan ni vice Mayor Myra Dulay Bade.

Ayon kay MDRRM Head David Don Saure, pitong barangay sa Kabacan ang binaha matapos na umapaw ang tubig baha sa Kabacan river, mga creeks at mga irrigation canal ng bayan.

Kabilang sa mga barangay na naapektuhan ay ang Katidtuan, Upper Paatan, Malanduage, Aringay, Kayaga partikular sa sitio Lumayong, Osias at Lower Paatan.

Abot naman sa mahigit sa dalawang libung mga pamilya ang naapektuhan ng pagbaha sa Kabacan kungsaan agad naming nagpaabot ng tulong ang LGU sa pangunguna ni Mayor Herlo Guzman Jr.

Maraming mga magsasaka ang naapektuhan ang kanilang mga sakahan,bagaman at wala namang may naiulat na nasawi o nasaktan sa nasabing flashflood.

Patuloy namang minominitor ang ilog na nasa Kayaga, particular ang Pulangi River at ang Kabacan River sa posibleng pagtaas pa ng tubig baha.

Pansamantala namang nanunuluyan ang mga bakwit sa Poblacion kungsaan namahagi na rin ng tulong si Kapitan Evangeline Guzman sa mga konstetuenteng nabahaan. Rhoderick Beñez
