3 ‘Sayyafs’ timbog sa Zambo

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Nadakip kaninang madaling araw  ng pulisya dito ang 3 umanong miyembro ng notoryosong Abu Sayyaf matapos na maitimbre ng isang concerned citizen ang naturang grupo.

Sinabi ni Superintendent Rogelio Alabata, ang regional police spokesman, na hinihinalang miyembro ng Ajang-Ajang Group ng Abu Sayyaf ang mga nadakip. Nasakote ang mga ito alas 3.20 ng umaga sa Barangay Pasonanca.

Hindi naman ibinigay ni Alabata ang pangalan ng mga suspek dahil patuloy ang imbestigasyon sa mga ito upang mabatid kung ano ang misyon o plano ng mga ito, o kung may mga kasamahan pa sila.

Ngunit sa isang police report, sinabi ni Chief Inspector Ceasar Memoracion, ang hepe ng pulisya sa naturang lugar, ay nabatid na isang concerned citizen ang nagsumbong sa kanila na may mga nakitang taong armado malapit sa isang motorpool sa Pasonanca kung kaya’t agad na kumilos ito.

Nadakip doon sina Jamar Maing, 41; Ahmad Lawisan, 33; at Omar Tandih, 36, at nabawi sa kanila ang isang .38-caliber revolver, isang MK2 fragmentation grenade at camouflage uniform.

Dati umanong security guard ng Morning Star Security Agency dito si Lawisan at halos 5 buwan na umano itong hindi sumisipot sa kanyang trabaho.

Hindi nagbigay ng anumang pahayag ang mga suspek. Mahigpit ang seguridad ngayon sa Zamboanga City dahil sa opensiba ng militar laban sa Abu Sayyaf sa Basilan at Sulu. (May karagdagang ulat mula kay Ely Dumaboc.)
