THREE “Most Wanted Persons” were arrested by police authorities during separate manhunt operations in Northern Mindanao over the weekend, police said.
A press release by the Police Regional Office-10 (PRO-10 Monday said the Malitbog town police in Bukidnon conducted an operation against a municipal-level “most wanted person” on Sunday that resulted in the arrest of Ruben S. Balcueva Sr.
Balcueva is wanted for rape and no bail bond has been recommended for his temporary liberty.
Also, the Sugbongcogon town police in Misamis Oriental arrested Rex Estaño for rape on the same day.
Estaño is tagged as a municipal-level second most wanted person.
Another rape suspect, Rey Malaran, was arrested by the Tudela town police in Misamis Occidental after a manhunt operation on Sunday.
PRO-10 said all arrested individuals were brought to the respective town police stations for proper disposition.
“May this continuous arrest of wanted persons send a message to all outlaws that Northern Mindanao is not a refuge for criminals as we will hunt them down and eventually put them behind bars,” said Police Brig. General Rafael Santiago Jr., PRO-10 director.
Santiago also lauded the efforts of the operating units for implementing the regional police’s “letter of instruction” against wanted persons in the region. (By Ercel Maandig)3 suspected rapists nabbed in NorMin
