
ZAMBOANGA CITY – Three people were injured after a man opened at them with a shotgun in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, police said Sunday.
Police said the trio – Angele Mariano, 25; Jovin Mariano, 15; and Rodel Foras, 18, – were shot late Saturday in the village of Bolong. The victims were just talking when the suspect, Felipe Fernandez, shot them.
Fernandez escaped after the shooting and the victims were rushed to hospital, according to Insp. Dahlan Samuddin, a regional police spokesman.
“The victims sustained multiple pellet wounds in the body and were brought to Zamboanga City Medical Center,” he said.
He said police are investigating the shooting while a team was dispatched to track down the Fernandez. (Mindanao Examiner)
