THREE HUNDRED SEVEN Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) from three municipalities in the province received their Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in an awarding ceremony here recently.
DAR Secretary John R. Castriciones led the awarding of land titles to the 100 beneficiaries from Alfonso Lista, 132 from Asipulo and 86 ARBs of Kiangan with a total of 188.6412 hectares for all the beneficiaries.
“Itong titulo na ninyo ay katunayan na kayo ay tunay na mga Pilipino. Dapat pagyamanin ninyo sapagkat itong mga lupa na ito ay puwedeng ipamana sa inyong mga anak,” Castriciones said.
He stressed that the government’s dream is for the farmers to have a progressive lives.
Elsa Codamon, 54, of Baguinge, Kiangan lauded President Rodrigo Duterte and the DAR for the land title awarded to her. “Matagal ko na pong hinintay na magkaroon ng sariling lupa at ngayon ay payapa na ang aking kalooban,” she said.
The same sentiment was shared by Jose Wan-ol of Asipulo who received his CLOA for the land that he’s tilling. “Agyaman kami iti DAR employees ken amin nga nagtrabaho para makalibre kami ti gastos iti processing ti titulo, uray awan gastos mi ket adda titulo mi,” Wan-ol added.
Also present during the event were DAR-Cordillera Regional Director Virgilio L. Acuna, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Artemio L. Dumaoang and Legal Service Director Marvin V. Bernal.(By Marcelo B. Lihgawon)
