4 lider ng NPA patay sa labanan

DAVAO CITY – Inanunsyo ngayon ng militar ang pagkakapatay sa apat na lider ng New People’s Army sa naganap na sagupaan sa bayan ng Alabel sa Sarangani province, ngunit tikom naman ang bibig ng lokal na pamahalaan ukol sa naturang karahasan.
Sinabi ni Major Ezra Balagtey, ang tagapagsalita ng Eastern Mindanao Command, na kabilang sa napatay ay ang Deputy Secretary General at Political Officer ng Guerrilla Front 71 na kinilala nito bilang si Ka Brigol.
Ang tatlong iba pa ay sina Ka JM na siyang team leader at logistic officer ni Brigol; at Ka Jonas, isa pang team leader at si Ka Lieutenant, ang vice team leader, ng nasabing grupo. Tatlong iba pa – isang medic at dalawa recruit ng NPA, kabilang ang isang babae – ang nasawi rin sa labanan sa Barangay Datal Anggas kamakalawa.
  
Sinabi pa ni Balagtey na nabawi ng mga tropa ang dalawang AK-47, anim na M16 at isang M653 automatic rifles, gayun rin ang apat na bomba, dalawang rifle grenade, limang radio transceivers at medical equipment at mga gamit, ng NPA sa naturang sagupaan.
Ayon naman kay General Aurelio Baladad, hepe ng Eastern Mindanao Command, ay nakikipagtulungan na sila sa lokal na pamahalaan upang maibalik ang mga bangkay ng nasawing rebelde sa kanilang mga pamilya.
“While these bandits were killed in a legitimate encounter, there are families that are waiting for them, it is for this reason that our unit on the ground are now coordinating with local authorities especially with the Social Welfare and the police authorities in Sarangani province for the proper disposition of the cadavers and be brought home to their respective families for a decent burial,” ani Baladad sa ipinadalang pahayag sa Mindanao Examiner.
“Again with the help of the family members, the community and local government we are calling our deceived brothers who are part of this group and other bandit groups to come down, lay down their fire arms and live peacefully with their families,” dagdag pa nito.
Matagal ng ipinaglalaban ng NPA ang makapagtatag ng sariling estado sa bansa tulad ng sa Tsina. (Mindanao Examiner)
