ILIGAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / July 29, 2013) – The Philippine Army’s 4th Mechanized Infantry Battalion said it ended a civic action program in partnership with the local government in Iligan City in Mindanao.
Lt. Col. Danilo Ibon, the battalion commander, said the community outreach was held in the village of Dalipuga. He said the mission provided 80 medical services; 30 tooth extractions and provided 33 haircuts to villagers.
Some 300 villagers also benefited from the feeding and deworming programs.
“We will continue to extend our humanitarian assistance together with our partners to the community while at the same time securing the peace and order of our Area of responsibility,” Ibon said.
