DAVAO CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Oct. 30, 2012) – Five people were killed and at least 9 others injured on Tuesday after a passenger bus lost its brake and hit a mountain side causing it to flip in Davao del Norte province, police said.
It said the bus came from Davao City and was heading to Samal City when the accident occurred along Kaputian Road.
“The bus lost its brake system and hit the side of the mountain and flipped on its side,” said Julian Mabini, the bus conductor.
The driver of the bus was among those killed, police said. (Mindanao Examiner)
