Chief Editor October 16, 2015

DAVAO CITY – The Overseas Workers Welfare Administrationsaid 5 families of overseas Filipino workers are vying for the title of the Model OFW Family of the Year Award (MOFYA) 2015.

MOFYA is an award-giving program designed to give recognition to outstanding OFW families and promote best practices in achieving optimal success in all aspects of life in the face of overseas migration of one or more members of the household. The award is different from other awards as it highlights not just the success of the overseas Filipino worker (OFW) alone, but each and every member of the OFW family

The Selection and Screening Committee has completed the validation and deliberation process last October 7 and 8, 2015. Announcement of winners shall be made in a fitting ceremony on October 18 at the Granada Hall of Grand Menseng Hotel, Davao City.

Giving recognition to deserving OFW families will serve as an inspiration to other families to emulate their example.

The winner for each category will represent Davao Region in the national finals slated this December 2015. (Roberto Gumba, Jr.)
