ZAMBOANGA CITY – Five people were killed following a huge fireball explosion inside a small passenger boat in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines.
Authorities launched an investigation into Monday evening blast that triggered a fire and engulfed the whole boat. The boat had a dozen crewmen and several of them were also injured in the blaze.
Survivors said the blast occurred while the boat – ML Satellite – was pumping gasoline at the wharf. (Mindanao Examiner)
