PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Nov. 21, 2012) – At least 8 people were wounded when a grenade exploded Wednesday outside a financing company in Cagayan de Oro City in the southern Philippines, authorities said.
It said the blast occurred in front of the Golden Sun Finance Corporation just outside the regional police base. Among those wounded in the explosion were two police officers.
It was not immediately known whether the financing company was target of the blast and no individual or group claimed responsibility for the latest attack.
Just last month, two people were also killed and several others wounded in a bomb explosion outside a hotel in Cagayan de Oro City. It was unknown whether the latest attack had anything to do with the previous explosion. (Mindanao Examiner)
