Ipo-ipo nanalasa sa Maguindanao

Ilan sa mga kabahayan na winasak ng ipo-ipo sa Barangay Kigan sa South Upi sa Maguindanao sa larawan na ito na inilabas ng munisipyo at ng ARMM-HEART.

COTABATO CITY (Mindanao Examiner / July 16, 2014) – Sampung kabahayan ang nawasak at tatlong silid-aralan rin ang nasira matapos na rumagasa ang isang ipo-ipo sa bayan ng South Upi sa Maguindanao province.

Ayon sa Humanitarian Emergency Action and Response Team ng Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao ay wala naman inulat na casualties sa naganap na pananalasa ng ipo-ipo kamakalawa sa Barangay Kigan. Ang Maguindanao ay isa sa limang lalawigan ng ARMM.

“ARMM HEART will extend assistance to the families affected by the Ipo-Ipo,” ani Myrna Jo Henry, ng ARMM-HEART.

Sinabi ni Henry na abala ngayon ang ARMM-HEARTsa monitoring ng mga ibat-ibang bayan sa Maguindanao at Lanao del Sur na kung saan ay nalubog rin sa baha, partikular ngayon dahil sa malakas na ulan na nararanasan ng Mindanao sanhi ng bagyong Glenda sa bansa.

Sa bayan ng Sultan Kudarat ay mataas na rin ang ilog at halos maabot na nito ang tulay doon. Nakatutok na rin ang ARMM-HEART sa naturang lugar upang mabilis itong maka-responde sa mga lugar na maaaring abutin ng baha. Sa Cotabato City ay baha na rin ang ilang lugar doon, ayon kay Henry.
