
TACURONG CITY (Mindanao Examiner / June 26, 2014) – Police raided a boarding house on Thursday and arrested four people who were allegedly engaged in illegal drugs in Tacurong City in southern Philippines, officials said.
Superintendent Junny Buenacosa, the local police chief, said the boarding house in the village of Canios is also being used by drug addicts as rendezvous or venue for their pot session. He said two of those arrested were drug dealers and the two others were drug users.
He identified those arrested as Coi Alagasi, 28, and his wife Sittie, 35, who are natives Isulan town in Sultan Kudarat province; and Nasrudin Alagasi, 31, and Jeffrey Villadar, 37.
Police Inspector Roel Vallena Abejero said the suspects were arrested in a drug sting. The house owner, Felipe Pantorilla, denied involvement in the illegal activities, saying, he was not even aware that his house is being used in the illegal drug trade by his boarders.
Buenacosa said policemen seized suspected shabu in one of the rooms in the house, including the marked money used in the drug sting. (Rose Muneza and Deanna Diaz)
