7 police officers promoted to key positions

  Interior Secretary Mar Roxas and Police Director General Alan Purisima

MANILA (Mindanao Examiner / May 26, 2014) – At least 7 police generals have been promoted by President Benigno Aquino to various posts upon the recommendation of Interior Secretary Mar Roxad and Police Director General Alan Purisima.

The promoted officers are assigned to key positions in the Directorial Staff and National Support Units of the Philippine National Police.

Promoted to the rank of Police Director or equivalent to the rank of Major General were Director Rodrigo De Gracia (Director for Information and Communications Technology Management); Director Getulio P. Napeñas (Special Action Force) and Director Melito Mabilin (Civil Security Group).

And Police Chief Superintendent or equivalent to the rank of Brigadier General are Superintendent Ulysses J. Abellera (Secretary to the Directorial Staff); Superintendent Theresa Ann B. Cid (Crime Laboratory Group); Superintendent Neri A. Ilagan (Integrated Police Operations – North Luzon) and Superintendent Nestor F. Quinsay Jr. (Police Community Relations Group).

Purisima has urged officers and policemen to do their best in serving the public and uphold the law and mission of the national police force.
