PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 21, 2014) – A 61-year old store owner was shot and wounded by a lone robber who took off with her bag in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga del Sur, police said Wednesday.
Police said Efralyn Quilojano had just closed her store at the Agora market in downtown Margosatubig when the gunman grabbed her bag containing her sales for the day. When she refused to let go of the bag, the man shot her three times with a .45-caliber pistol and then fled.
The trader was rushed to the Margosatubig Regional Hospital, but her condition remains unknown.
Police said it was tracking down the assailant. It was not immediately known whether security cameras installed in nearby establishments caught the shooting. (Mindanao Examiner)
