
ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 4, 2014) – Three Chinese businessmen were lucky to survive and sustained bruises when their vehicle overshot a road and plunged down a ravine in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga Sibugay, police said on Sunday.
Police spokesman Dahlan Samsuddin said the trio – by Zhipeng Ke, 27; Michael Sy, 37; and George Lee, 45 – was heading to Zamboanga City from Cagayan de Oro City when the accident occurred in the village of Lumbog in Imelda town.
Ke was driving his Chevrolet Trail Blazer when he fell asleep and plunging the car 60 meters below the road.
Police said the three men were residents of Cagayan de Oro. Their injuries were not life-threatening, according to police investigator Jade Rodriguez. (Mindanao Examiner)
