CEBU CITY – The local city government of Cebu has renewed its campaign against mendicancy and launched a campaign aimed at stopping the unabated problems posed by mendicants here.

City government personnel and traffic officers have distributed stickers to drivers of public utility vehicles. Printed on the sticker is “Stop Mendicancy” and the campaign has been getting a huge support from the public.

The city also marks August as Anti-Mendicancy Month in partnership with various government agencies as part of the advocacy campaign for public awareness of City Ordinance 1631.

Leaflets and stickers are also being distributed in different areas here. (Cebu Examiner)
