TACURONG CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Apr. 7, 2014) – An unidentified gunman shot dead a former prisoner a few days after he was freed from jail in Tacurong City in Sultan Kudarat province, police said.
Police said the 29-year old Alfred Fabro was instantly killed in the attack which occurred recently in Purok Sampaguita in the village of New Isabela.
Fabro was walking on his way home when the gunman was shot him repeatedly with a .45-caliber pistol and then escaped after the attack. The motive of the killing is still unknown, but police launched an investigation into the murder.
Police also recovered 7 bullet casings and two bullet slugs in the area. It said Fabro was a convicted robber. (Rose Muneza)
