ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY (Mindanao Examiner / Mar. 23, 2014) – Filipino policemen arrested four minors who allegedly raped an eight-year old girl in the southern province of Zamboanga Sibugay.
Police said four, ages 15, 13, 11 and 9, grabbed the girl who was grazing their farm animal and took turns in raping her in the village of Payongan in Alicia town.
The victim, a grade 3 student, reported the matter to her parents who then sought police help in arresting the minors.
The girl told police investigators that she was abused by the four at a grassy area of the village and then left her alone after the sexual attack.
The four were arrested separately in a police operation and handed them over to the care of social workers while police are investigating the case. (Mindanao Examiner)
