One man, Lito Angilis, 29, who was also hacked several times by Arnatis managed to grab a bolo and attacked and killed the deranged man, police said.
Police identified those who died in the brutal attack as Merlita Emoc, 27; Junrey Emoc, 7; Merlyn Emoc, 4; Nak-Nak Emoc, 2; and the couple Samuel Langubon, 57, and Presciosa, 59.
Chief Inspector Ariel Huesca, a regional police spokesman, said initial investigation showed that Arnatis was suffering from a mental illness. (Mindanao Examiner)
