Camp Iranun

Editor March 6, 2014
S1-copy

Government troops guard the former mountain top hideout of Moro Islamic Liberation Front founder Ustadz Salamat Hashim in what was before a sprawling rebel base called Camp Abubakar Assidique in Matanog town in Maguindanao, one of five provinces under the Muslim autonomous region. Following its fall to the military in 2000, Camp Abubakar Assidique is now home to the Philippine Army’s 603rd Infantry Brigade under Col. Manolito Orense and called Camp Iranun.
