Saudi Arabia urges all Jeddah residents to remain indoors – Al Arabiya News

Editor November 19, 2015

Saudi Arabia’s crisis management and disaster center on Tuesday urged all Jeddah residents to remain indoors due to heavy rainfall in the western coastal city.

Authorities also warned citizens in Makkah to stay indoors because to combination of heavy rainfall and strong winds.

Schools and public offices were also forced to close down on Tuesday in both Makkah and Jeddah after Saudi civil defense determined the weather as too dangerous for outdoor travel.

Citizens have started sharing photos and videos online with the hashtag #Jeddah_Now in Arabic going viral in Saudi Arabia.(Al Arabiya News)
