PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Feb. 20, 2014) – Police said 2 people were wounded after a lone gunman shot them inside a bar in Pagadian City in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga del Sur.
Police said Joel Jenelo and Ronald Masabas were both attacked by the man inside the JC Videoke House at Purok Madanihon in the village of Bulatoc. Both men – who work as automotive mechanic here – were rushed to hospital.
The assailant fled after the shooting. Police investigators, quoting witnesses, said the victims were drinking at the bar when the gunman, who was seated near the door, stood up, pulled out his gun and without warning opened fire on Jenelo and Masabas.
Investigators recovered four bullet casings of .45-caliber pistol inside the bar. The motive of the shooting is being investigated by the police. (Mindanao Examiner)
