PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Feb. 3, 2014) – Police said a 43-year old man was shot and killed by two armed assailants on a motorcycle who tailed him in the town of Mahayag in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga del Sur.
Police identified the fatality as Leozar Quinto, a resident of Molave town, also in Zamboanga del Sur. Quinto was traveling on a motorcycle when gunmen attacked him in the village of Kaangayan.
Quinto was heading home from Dumingag town when the killing occurred.
Police said the victim was shot several times in the head and did not reach the hospital alive. The motive of the attack is unknown, police said. (Mindanao Examiner)
