
PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Feb. 2, 2014) – Policemen shot and wounded a brother of man wanted for robbery and homicide after he attacked them while trying to arrest his sibling in Midsalip town in Zamboanga del Sur province in southern Philippines.
Policemen shot Jerry Langilan, 29, who opened fire on lawmen that were pursuing his younger brother, Romnick, on the rice paddy. Langilan was shot twice and rushed to hospital and police recovered a homemade gun and a bolo from the wounded man.
His brother escaped arrest and is being hunted now by the police. Police said the younger Langilan has a warrant for his arrest in the province.
Police are also preparing criminal charges against his brother. (Mindanao Examiner)
