Photos in the News: Western Mindanao Command hands out medal, awards to personnel

Lieutenant General Rustico Guerrero, chief of the Western Mindanao Command, hands over the Special Awards to the 7 top performers of the Physical Fitness Test for 2nd Semester of 2014. And Major Benjamin Pajarito, of the Philippine Army, also receives the Military Merit Medal for his “meritorious and valuable service rendered” as Deputy and Branch Chief of Administrative and Reserve Force, Office of the Assistant Chief of Unified Command Staff for Operations from July 3, 2011 to January 16, 2015.

The Western Mindanao Command also awards Zamboanga City Rep. Lilia Nuño the “AFP Bayanihan Award 2014” for her “invaluable services and support to the Bayanihan Team Activity in the conduct of medical and dental outreach to the less fortunate people in the east coast area of Zamboanga City.”

Same award was also handed to Datu Zamsamin Ampatuan, Mayor of Rajah Buayan town in, Maguindanao province by the 6th Infantry Division under Major General Edmundo Pangilinan for his “significant contributions to the 45th Infantry Battalion, 5th Infantry Division, Philippine Army in the implementation of the AFP’s Internal Peace and Security Plan “Bayanihan,” among others.
