ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Jan. 24, 2014) – Motorcycle gunmen shot and wounded a woman in a broad daylight attack in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, police said.
Police said Elvira Pansensoy, 38, was shot in the head while driving her motorcycle with another companion in the village of Tugbungan. His companion escapes unhurt from the attack, but has been injured after falling from the motorcycle.
The two gunmen escaped after the shooting, but the police said the identities of the attackers have been established after the woman’s companion provided information about the assailants.
Police also recovered suspected shabu and other drug paraphernalia from the woman’s bag. It was not immediately known whether the shooting was connected to illegal drugs or not. (Mindanao Examiner)
