DAVAO CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Dec. 9, 2013) – Some 200 people benefited from a dental and medical mission by the military and various groups in the southern Filipino city of Davao, officials said.
Army 1st Lieutenant Danilo Mapacpac said the Task Force Davao in collaboration with the Davao City Entrepreneur Lion’s Club headed by its president Terresita Jabellana, and the local chapter of the Philippine Mental Health Association led by Dr Reginald Jopson held the medical and feeding mission at the militar headquarters in Santa Ana Wharf in the village of Leon Garcia.
“More or less two hundred beneficiaries availed the medical and dental services and provided with medicines from the groups. The Task Force Davao – Youth For Peace also joined the activity,” he said.
Dr Jopson said the humanitarian mission served as an advance Christmas gift for the local residents who availed of the free medical and dental services.
“This activity is part of continuing program of the Armed Forces of the Philippines anchored on Bayanihan aimed at promoting peace and development,” said Mapacpac. (Mindanao Examiner)
