
PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Dec. 5, 2013) – Two people were killed and another was wounded as two rival gangs clashed in the southern Filipino city of Pagadian, police said Thursday.
Police said the clash occurred in the village of Dao where Marlon Semene and Moteng were both killed. A third gang member, Jeffrey Gamel, was also wounded in the gun battle.
It was not immediately known what triggered the fighting, but police said investigators recovered at least bullet casings fired from a .45-caliber pistol and M16 automatic rifle.
Police are investigating the shootout and whether the gangs were involved in the series of killings and gun attacks in Pagadian City, the capital of Zamboanga del Sur province. (Mindanao Examiner)
