ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR (Mindanao Examiner / Dec. 4, 2013) – Police arrested 6 crewmen of a trawler for illegal fishing at the municipal waters of Margosatubig in Zamboanga del Sur province in southern Philippines.
Police said the boat, owned by Marcelino Cataga, was apprehended by a patrol and arrested the crew members – Carlito Galorio, Fernando Rojas, Teodoro Galorio, Palang Corpin, Alvino Galorio and Roland Consot.
The fishermen were residents of Igat Island also in Margosatubig. Police said the fishermen were later released after the boat owner paid a still undetermined amount of fine. (Mindanao Examiner)
