
DIPOLOG CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Dec. 3, 2013) – Police launched a manhunt against a man who stabbed his drinking buddy and his partner after a heated argument in the town of Sindangan in Zamboanga del Norte province in southern Philippines.
Police said Marciano Maglangit III was accused of stabbing Luciano Ansanal, 44, and Susan Agas, 34, in the village of Benigno Aquino. Maglangit stabbed Ansanal in the stomach with a hunting knife at the height of their argument.
Ansanal’s partner then rushed to help the victim and shielded him from further attacks, but Maglangit also stabbed the woman several times. Maglangit escaped after the attack.
Police said Ansanal was seriously wounded and brought to the Sindangan District Hospital. (Mindanao Examiner)
