DIPOLOG CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Nov. 27, 2013) – A village official was wounded in an ambush in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga del Norte, police said Wednesday.
Police said the attack left Sebrino Jabier, 50, wounded. His four companions were unscathed from the shooting which occurred in the village of Puliran in Sibuco town.
The group of Jabier was on horses when they came under attack. Jabier, a village council member in Culaguan, was hit in his left hand. Police said the lone attacker fled after the shooting.
Police are investigating the attack to determine who were behind the shooting. (Mindanao Examiner)
