
ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Nov. 23, 2013) – Four people were injured after the armored van they were driving fell in a ravine in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, police said on Saturday.
Police said the vehicle was heading to Zamboanga City from Ipil town in Zamboanga Sibugay province when it avoided a collision with a motorcycle which crossed its path in Sitio Daap in the village of Sangali.
The van first hit the guiderail of the highway and ploughed to the ravine below. Police identified the driver of the van as Arnold Miral and passengers Edgar Esmilla and Asbi Entoman, both security guards, and Leo Maximo Sebastian, a bank teller for the Bando de Oro.
It was not immediately known whether the police apprehended the driver of the motorcycle or not or whether he is liable in the accident. (Mindanao Examiner)
