ILIGAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Nov. 1, 2013) – Philippine police are preparing charges against a man who allegedly burned down the office of the local Commission on Elections where a policeman was also killed.
Police said the accused, Lumboy Conto, lost in the recent village elections. The 47-year old Conto allegedly set the poll office in fire and trapping policeman Rey Borinaga. He was arrested by the police.
Conto was reportedly with other companions, but it was unknown whether they had been arrested or not.
