
MANILA – The UP Open University, UPOU Foundation Inc, and the Philippine Society for Distance Learning are hosting the 2nd International Conference on Open and Distance e-Learning on June 19-20, 2014 at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria.
With the theme “Universities in an Era of Open Education,” the conference seeks paper proposals on the following sub-themes: open online courses (MOOCs, OOCs, MOUCs, and MODeLs); open educational resources, open courseware, open textbooks; flexible learning; open educational practices, open pedagogies, open teaching; the Semantic Web, personal learning environments, and other open learning spaces and technologies; mobile learning; assessment and accreditation of learning; digital literacies and new media literacies; quality assurance in/and open education; and academic leadership and management in a time of openness.

ICODeL is a biennial conference that brings together academics, teachers, researchers, university and school administrators, policymakers, trainers, students, and other education stakeholders in government, industry, and other professional sectors to share experiences in open, distance and e-learning, and critical reflections on how universities can lead the way towards achieving open, flexible and effective education for all.
