
ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / July 10, 2013) – Police are searching for one of 2 men who fatally stabbed a gas depot employee in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, officials said Wednesday.
Chief Inspector Ariel Huesca, a regional police spokesman, said the two assailants escaped on a motorcycle after stabbing Kenneth Bernardo in the village of Santa Maria.
He said the two men stopped the 25-year old Bernardo who was also traveling on a motorcycle and then stabbed him in the body. The assailants escaped after the attack.
Bernardo, who worked for Petron Corporation, still managed to seek help from villagers before collapsing on the road. He was rushed to hospital but died while undergoing operation.
Huesca said the police are investigating the attack. (Mindanao Examiner)
