
PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / June 27, 2013) – Police said an explosion has destroyed the façade of a house, whose owner is into the retail selling of gasoline, in Malangas town in Zamboanga Sibugay province in southern Philippines.
Police said no one was killed or wounded in the explosion. The house owner, Jonathan Aming, 44, told the police that prior to the explosion, two men had inquired if he was selling gasoline.
Aming told the men that there was no gasoline and they had left, but 15 minutes later the explosion occurred outside the house in the village of Candiis.
The victim suspects the men had left the explosive for a still unknown reason. Police are investigating the explosion and have not released any details as to what type of bomb or explosive was used in the blast.
The retail selling of gasoline is illegal in the Philippines, but it was unknown whether the attack was connected to the underground trade. (Mindanao Examiner)
