MANILA (Mindanao Examiner / June 4, 2013) – Fifteen undocumented Filipina workers in Saudi Arabia have been repatriated to the Philippines on Tuesday, the Department of Foreign Affairs said.
It said the workers came from Riyadh and arrived aboard Gulf Air flight GF 154L. Another group of seven repatriates is also scheduled to arrive in Manila on Wednesday.
The cost of repatriation was charged against the Philippine Embassy’s and Consulate’s Assistance-to-Nationals funds.
Efforts are also continuing to process the passports and travel documents of undocumented Filipinos to facilitate their regularization or repatriation before the July 3 deadline imposed by the Saudi Government.
Undocumented Filipinos in Saudi Arabia are advised to visit the website of the Embassy and Consulate for latest announcements and updates regarding the regularization/repatriation program of the Saudi Government.
